lyrics

Inspired by the story of 'Alice In Wonderland' : Alice falls asleep and she begins to dream of a wonderland where things aren't as they seem, she climbs into a hole, then she begins to fall, she comes across a door and she doesn't have the key, she has no key, Alice, there doesn't seem to be no room for Alice, she'll catch ya paint the roses red, off with her head, off with head the queen said, Where pretty flowers sing, the trees so very green, energizer bunny who's late for a date, this isn't very funny, decapitate to be her fate? She said she'd like some tea, Mad Hatter give it won't ya please, oh won't you please? (Chorus) Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? Who are you? (Chorus) Croquet is the game that she'd like to play, royal sore loser, Alice runs away, she hopes she'll see the day that she'll wake up by the lake, she feels a cool breeze, Wonderland was just a dream, it was all a dream, (Chorus)

...lesser than God technically, really should have been ...less than God or ...lesser than our God, but I had my own philosophy on what it should mean at the time. The group, at the time of these recordings, consisted of Chris Davis on vocals/lyrics, Greg McNeely on guitar, Chris Moyle on bass guitar and Chad Meinders on drums. It was produced and engineered by Steve Palmer and Mike Whitaker at Luky 7 Studios. Violent Mood Swings, The Seed, The Mirror and Hang Your Wings were recorded on March 22 1998. It was the next morning after a show at the Firehouse in the vicinity of SLU downtown. Anorexic Life was recorded later that year there. It was never released, but the first four were on our self-titled debut in tape format. Cover art by Chris Davis. Cyber Girl, Plaster Of Paris, No Room For Alice, Conscience, Tomorrow's Sun & more were performed live at the Mud Room on Hampton Ave. in 1996 I think. This is the audio from an old camcorder. Jason Harding on drums and Kurt Pruno on bass w/ Greg on guitar & Chris Davis on vocals.
